I have been negligent in maintaining this blog. For the past year and a half, my son, B and I have been working toward the requirements for naturalisation to become Dutch citizens. This finally became a reality at the end of January. We now have all the rights and responsibilities of Dutch citizens. This is the result of nine years of hard work and planning. We are thrilled.
With the COVID-19 lockdown and other recent events, I hope to begin regular posts again. So much has happened since then.
Great news! Happy for you. Looking forward to the details of your personal experience with this. 🙂
Thanks, Sharon. More soon….
Congratulations!
Thank you, Tiago. It was a long time coming!
Oh wow Jillian, that is fantastic news….congrats and super to see your blog! I will catch up on the others and see how you and kitties are doing! I’ll email soon as well! Sandy:))
I would be interested to hear more about this. Did you have to renounce your US citizenship?
Hello,
No, I was able to claim an exception that was acceptable to Dutch immigration so I was able to keep my American citizenship.
