Four months after our move to Amsterdam, around New Years Eve, we noticed a water stain on the ceiling between our first and second floors. The stain continued to grow. Obviously there was a major water leak in our old Dutch house. After numerous calls to general contractors, a worker finally arrived and started demolishing the waterlogged ceiling. There was a leak not only in the upstairs shower, but also in the water piping leading into the toilet. After the worker left and as I was cleaning up a pile of wet sheetrock and insulation, I heard rustling and looked up to see this:
Sid loved the convenience of surveying two floors at once. It took about three months for the plumbing to be repaired and the ceiling to be fixed. I think Sid is missing his vantage point.
Aww, Sid appreciated your ceiling leak misfortune!
He appreciates all things new and different, that’s for sure. Very un-cat like!
